Lesley Farmer (30.11.2014)I see research skills as a subset of information literacy. Research has an intentional aspect. On the other hand, info lit can be a reactive activity. As one is bombarded with information, knowing whether to determine its meaning, pay attention to it, and deal with it are all info lit competencies. Consider a "bang" sound: is it a tire blown -- on your car, or someone else's -- or a faraway gunshot?
